Woke up from a nap to find my dog staring over to the Western sky with that same look on her face that dogs in movies get when they are looking at ghosts or space aliens. A few seconds later there was lightning and thunder. She can hear it way before I can. A huge black cloud came over, the temperature dropped, and we got hail like I haven't seen in years. It was pea-sized but it fell for quite some time.
My husband and I watched it from the doorway for a while, then heard the television say "Tornado Warning for your area". My husband said "You want to go for a drive?" *g*
Followed the storm Westward. Outstanding cloud to cloud lightning - big, clear bolts. Wish I was quick enough to capture it.
Then I spotted the wall cloud. We followed it as long as we could but it was moving really fast. It got over a heavily populated area, during commute time, so we turned back.
Well, that and one other reason. Greater love hath no man than would miss the beginning of an NBA Playoff game for his wife. ;)
